Impulse

Impulse develops themes from my earlier installation, Impetus, drawing on the experiences of migrants selling flowers in Turin, Italy.

The work uses flowers as a parallel to human migration, exploring both physical movement and the emotional journeys that accompany it. As flowers turn towards sunlight, people seek a better life, sometimes guided by an idealised destination.

Presented at Manchester College, Impulse continues this exploration of movement, hope and the search for belonging.

I worked with musician Joel Moffet to create an emotive soundtrack reflecting these themes.
