Blending Spaces

Blending Spaces brought 3D scans of the historic Crystal Palace into Meraki, Liverpool. The audio-reactive installation responded to the ambient music of live bands, connecting the projected imagery with the sound in the room.

The imagery contrasted areas of the Crystal Palace in disrepair with flourishing nature, exploring the relationship between decay and renewal.

Meraki’s warehouse setting—with its bare brick and exposed walls—extended this theme. The venue itself offered an example of an old building given a new lease of life.
